A tiny house in Vinkeveen that stole my heart

Since March 12th 2020, I am staying at home, sleeping on my own bed, working from home, all about home and I think even my dog, Baco, is tired of me being at home. Baco is quite happy to see somebody else than me around her, wink, wink... The world called this period of lock down with different situation and rules than before, including traveling. Due to this new situation it is safer to have vacation in our own country. I stayed in this house for two separate weeks, in June and August 2021. It was not a complete vacation period, so I have been working as well in both weeks. Basically I was just moving to another house for different atmosphere.

During my stay in June, it was the week of real summer (please be gentle, real summer is a subjective thing), very hot sunny days, average 30oC. Having this house by the lake with this condition it was just a blessing for coping with the heat, just swam in the lake to cool down and sunbathing at the back garden or sitting in the jacuzzi afterward. I also did supping board with a paddle and honestly a paddle and me, we're not good friends at all. At least I tried it. I could also experience to work outside under the sun that made most of my colleagues at work jealous. However to do a long walk around was a bit too much. This time I had my beautiful niece and her girlfriend coming over and some friends coming for dinner together or just spending the day in the garden.

Meanwhile my stay in August, I had rainy day but also dry sunny days, average 22oC. Although it sometimes was raining, sitting on the couch looking to the back garden and the water, has its own charm and I found it relaxing actually. I could still swim in the lake and sitting in the jacuzzi afterward to warm up. I could take Baco for a couple long walks around the villages around, as it was not that hot. I had some friends coming over for dinner or staying over.

Vinkeveen is a village by the water of lakes of Vinkeveen. This lake has different kinds of water sport and sailing, of course. Rent a boat and sail around the lakes is a must thing to do here. The village has quite some good restaurants around and a small shopping mall, so we can also find everything we need to survive. :-) If you're a sporty person, you will definitely like staying in this village, especially in the summer time.
