Atotonilco the Mexican baroque sanctuary

This is a flashback post from Mexico, from August 18th, 2019...
About 20 minutes driving from San Miguel de Allende, there is a small village where this gorgeous sanctuary situated. It is now recognized as Unesco World Heritage site besides San Miguel.
The inside of the church is full of colorful paintings, stories from the bible. The paintings are so alive and some are also so dreadfully sad. I think it is worthed to pay 15 Pesos and see the paintings.
On the main road, there are many local souvenirs sellers and street food sellers... just make sure to stroll around this main street too...
