This city is really like a jewel for the tourists, many things to do and experience...
I spent my last 3 days in Cape Town, my main reason was to see the famous Table Mountain (Tafelberg) and at the end I got much more than that...
On the first day of March, I managed to fly from Durban to Cape Town, after some delays. I found my pick up at the airport directly and we drove about 20 mnt to Florealis guest house. It is located exactly under the Table Mountain (Tafelberg).
It was about 15.00 when I arrived there and they suggested that I could go to Table Mountain directly by cable car and walked around. Because that day the weather was splendid and you never know about the weather in Cape Town, they said. And I did that, the cable car took a couple of minutes and it is a turning floor, so everyone could see all the 360o view. It is 1086 m high from the sea level. You could see the whole city of Cape Town up there, the skyline, downtown, the football stadion and part of the harbor. I walked up there about 1.5 hours, took pictures around, found a dassie eating, and some lizards. It was a nice walk and not too hot, I love it!
Then I found a nice size zebra bag for about 1100 Rands and I bought it, together with a thimble for my collection. Then with the same taxi driver, Eric, I was picked up and asked him to take me to Hard Rock Café which is in Camp Bays.
Camp Bays is actually the beach on Atlantic ocean, so it was a bit cold. I sat on the second floor of HRC, enjoying my strawberry basil lemonade and Caesar chicken salads while the sun was going down. There was also live reggae music downstairs, so it was entertaining to see the people around dancing and people activities around the beach. Then I walked to the beach, took some pictures, felt the cold water… then when it was getting dark, I took a cab to go back to the hotel.
