25 and 26 Feb 2020, I was in Kruger park, first in the afternoon till after sunset then the whole day on the next day.

I was quite excited that afternoon, as it was the first time to enter Kruger park. We could see many birds around that we could spotted and also big animals, even Rhino (although quite far away though). Impala, zebra and wilde beast are usually together. Together, each animal has its own characteristic which make the group strong. We saw many different hawks, hippo, elephant, giraffe, leopard, buffalo and african wild dogs. We came back after dark.

The morning tour started from 5.15, the park opens at 5.30. Almost directly after we entered the park, we saw the lions, just sitting in the middle of the road as the king of the forest (or road). After hunting and eating the whole evening, the lions are resting and they like to sit on the road as it is warmer and dry compared to the grass. They don’t easily get scared by people and cars either. To me they looked very cuddly but indeed I don’t spare my life.

Then we tried to see the wild dogs, hyenas, some birds and other animals ofcourse. We stopped for breakfast and lunch. We finished about 15.00. The morning and afternoon safaris are the most interesting one. But since Kruger park is very big, if you don’t stay in the park then you could not go around that far to see the park. But when it was so hot, almost no animals around. According to the guide, the best period to see the animals there is in August, the end of winter and just go to the river in the morning and most of the animals will be there, as the winter has no rains.
