The breeze of North Sea in Renesse

As we had a long weekend this week, I decided to take Baco to stay overnight in a hotel and I chose the hotel Zeeuwse Stromen in Renesse. It is a hotel by the beach of North Sea and we can take the dog everywhere, even to dining room. The dining room is not open at this moment due to Covid but when taking my dinner/ breakfast, Baco could come along.

I like the location of the hotel, 5 minutes walking to the beach and 10 minutes walking to the center of the village. Perfect location!

However this is North Sea, although it was sunny yesterday, for me it is not the beach to do sunbathing. So I walked a lot with Baco along the beach, listened to the sound of the sea which is quite calming and give peaceful feeling. We also climbed up the dike from sand which actually protects the village. Yes, do you know that more than 70% of the Netherlands are actually under water level? That's why our country has a nick name of low land.

The center of the village is not that big, with a church in the middle of a circle. It has some restaurants, cafes and ice cream shop. I was quite lucky that now we could sit on the terrace of the restaurant to enjoy the drinks and food till 6 PM.

Around this village, there are some protected forest area with some wild animals. We saw some seagulls catching the crab and eating it. Found a starfish and throwing it back to the sea, hopefully it survives. Suddenly behind the bush in the dune, some pony's were grassing, a bit further down I saw two big eyes (deer) watching me from far away and rabbits running around to tease Baco as well. Across the water at far away, we could also spot some seals sun bathing, which for sure my definition of sun bathing is totally different than theirs.

A nice North Sea breeze to rejuvenate for the new week! :-)
